DAY 1 Luang Prabang - Muang Ngoi

This morning, leave Luang Prabang with a drive to Nong Khiew, followed by local boat to Muang Ngoi. Enjoy the stunning scenery in the mountainous area and stay overnight in a local guesthouse.

DAY 2 Muang Ngoi - Ban Kioukhan

ActivitiesBoat up stream on Nam Ou river to Ban Hadsapheui, trekking uphill to Ban Kioukhan

After breakfast, transfer by traditional boat up stream on Nam Ou river to Ban Hadsapheui (Khmu village). We will then begin trekking uphill to Ban Kioukhan for about 4 hours. Local picnic lunch is on the way. Arrive in Ban Kioukhan in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in traditional village homestay.

DAY 3 Ban Kioukhan - Ban Houay Sene

After breakfast, trek to Ban Nam Tap (Hmong village) and Ban Sengsavang (Khmu ethnic village). Continue to walk for about 6 hours and take in great mountain views this morning. After lunch, trekking to Ban Houy Sene, where you will enjoy dinner and overnight in the home of a villager.

DAY 4 Ban Houay Sene - Luang Prabang

This morning after breakfast, explore local people’s working and living condition. Then begin walking 2 hours through the Rice field and beautiful landscape to Muang Ngoi. On the way, we will stop to see Tham Kang Cave, where we will take a break for relaxing (swimming is possible). At approximately noon, we will arrive at Muang Ngoi for lunch. After breakfast, take a local boat to Nong Kiew and van back to Luang Prabang.

Couldn’t have asked for more!
– Viet Prestige Travel was very professional and don’t tell you lies when they present you the program (as opposed to some other agencies)
– Our guide was great : he spoke good english, spent the evening answering to all our questions about the village we were in
– The villages we visited were authentic
– The food was authentic Lao food and very tasty.
– The trek is not too difficult but challenging enough
– We had a lot of memories there

Very nice experience with friendly guides
– It was all top and very well organised
– We pre booked and paid in advance and everything was delivered as per plan
– Our guides (Wang and Chang) were relay very good, alway joyful, very helpful, knowledgable and fun. They also show us very interesting things when it comes to kindle meals
– This company absolutely delivers on what you sign up for! I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in eco-trekking
– We surely will be back next year
