Today, your tour guide & driver will pick you up at your hotel and start your journey to Hue. Travel along the coast road and drive through the busy city of Da Nang before reaching to the top of Hai Van Pass.
The pass which once formed the boundary between the kingdoms of Dai Viet and Champa, also forms a boundary between the climates of northern and southern Vietnam, sheltering the city of Da Nang from the winds that blow in from the northwest.
After stopping to take some spectacular photos, your driver will take you slowly down the winding road toward Lang Co Beach on the way to Hue.
Arrive in Hue, We start with a visit to the Citadel, containing the Imperial City and the Forbidden Purple City, the Emperor’s private residence. The Imperial City , created in the 19th century and modeled on the Forbidden City in Beijing . There are many palaces and temples inside.
After lunch, we will board a private traditional boat for a cruise on the romantic Perfume River. Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded by ancient tombs of past emperors, some of which will be on the itinerary for the day. The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop and is located at the convergence of rivers, which makes it an ideal place for a great view of the Perfume River and surrounding area. From here you will cruise further to the ornate Minh Mang’s tomb. End the day at Khai Dinh’s Tomb which boasts a traditional Vietnamese design with a European touch, making it unique from the other tombs in Hue. Before heading back to your hotel take time to stroll around Dong Ba Market with your guide.
Get on the car and drive back through the road tunnel under Hai Van Pass.
Back to Hoi An for overnight.
